"Spirituality is my motor, my oxygen, its present in each of my actions. Each breath I take, each movement is a prayer"
-Ben Harper

Yoga is like my best friend. My yoga practice is loving, brutally honest, forgiving, and most of all, its always there for me. And also like a best friend, its there to pick me up when I'm down, give me words of encouragement and even sometimes offer tough love. Yoga has helped me become such a strong person inside in out, and it helps me to remember the beauty in everyone and everything.  But my practice wasn't always this way. I began studying yoga in high school when stress became a huge problem in my life. When I showed up to my first class I was terrified! The poses felt strange in my body, and I remember an overwhelming feeling of confusion during class ('did you just say "eko pada rajakapatasana"??' ) but as I left I felt something else I was unfamiliar with: calm. Soon after that first class I was totally addicted.  My stress became much easier to manage and the more I practiced the more I fell in love. I pursued a 200 hour yoga teacher certification through YogaWorks in the spring 2010.

I was hired at Soliel Lune Yoga Center (my home away from home) in june right after I finished my training. Words could never express how honored and blessed I feel to work there everyday with such inspiring and supportive people. I adore being a teacher!
I believe yoga is a practice which cultivates the continual growth of the heart and body. I am passionate about working with students to create a safe space in class where we can open our hearts to love and and inspiration. I feel a yoga class should be fun, judgement-free, challenging, creative, and safe. Expect there to be lots of laughter and sweat. ♥

Love and Light,
